Description

The all-over print is inspired by traditional Japanese Boro patched cloth and natural indigo plant dye craft. Diverse classic Wagara patterns including Seigaiha waves, Asanoha geometry, polka dots and checkers are spliced into patchwork square blocks, recreating the timeless rustic texture of old patched vintage fabrics. The layered indigo blue & cream color palette delivers calm muted retro tones, perfect for low-key daily styling.

OROMEN Indigo Boro Patchwork Shirt – Japanese Fabric Detail

A Note from the Designer

For me, this piece is about embracing the beauty of time and imperfection. I’ve always been fascinated by the Wabi-Sabi philosophy behind old patchwork garments, so I spliced diverse traditional prints into structured blocks. I chose a muted palette of layered indigo blue and cream to evoke a sense of quiet nostalgia. I didn't want to make just another trendy shirt; I wanted to make something with a heartbeat—a piece that carries history but feels entirely effortless today.
