Every Block a Different Story

Designing the Rajasthan Paisley started with a simple question: what if every panel of a shirt told its own story?

We sourced reference from the block-printed textiles of Jaipur — where craftsmen carve individual stamps for each motif and press them by hand into fabric, one block at a time. Each panel in this shirt carries a different interpretation of the paisley: some jewelled and symmetrical, others loose and flowing, others reduced to a single bold outline. The crimson, amber and olive grounds are drawn from the pigments used in traditional Rajasthani natural dyeing.
