Here, that language is reimagined as a patchwork of squares: navy, amber, slate blue and burgundy panels, each carrying its own motif — concentric sun circles, paisley swirls, folk birds in flight, botanical sprigs and geometric stripes — assembled into a composition that feels both ancient and entirely contemporary.

One Shirt, a Hundred Blocks, a Thousand Years of Craft

Ajrakh is one of the oldest surviving block-printing traditions in the world — practiced in the Kutch region of Gujarat for over a thousand years, where artisans carve intricate stamps from teak wood and press them into fabric using natural mineral pigments, one block at a time.
The Ajrakh Mosaic shirt is built on that logic. Each square panel carries a different motif — concentric sun circles, paisley swirls, folk birds mid-flight, botanical sprigs, geometric stripes — printed in navy, amber, slate blue and burgundy. No two panels repeat. The patchwork grid is not a shortcut; it is the design language of a tradition that has always understood that variety and repetition can coexist.
