About the Linen We Use

You may know linen from its reputation as the perfect warm weather fabric, but this lightweight, breathable material is full of surprises. On top of unbeatable durability, linen is also hypoallergenic, biodegradable and boasts impressive sustainability—flax plants are resilient, need very little water, and can grow in nutrient depleted soil. All of that adds up to sturdy style that just keeps getting better.

Differences Between Linen & Cotton

The Cotton, 7000 years old, various sub-tropical continents:
Hi there! I’m open to anything, will comfort you in hard times. I’m a big softie but also fantastic in bed.

The Linen, 30,000 years old, Egypt:
Well, hello. I’m strong, around for the long-term, but will give you plenty of breathing space. May appear slightly stiff at first, but I’ll get softer the more you get to know me.

Texture & Appearance

Linen fibres are thicker than cotton fibres so may feel crisp initially, but after time, will become softer and more supple. Whereas cotton feels softer and silkier and looks smoother.

Breathability

Linen has a loose fiber structure with superior breathability and heat dissipation. Its natural texture creates air channels that efficiently wick away heat and moisture, making it the top choice for summer fabrics. More 30% breathable than cotton.

Durability

Linen fibers are extremely strong (2-3 times stronger than cotton), resistant to stretching and abrasion. It softens over time without losing integrity. Significantly more durable long-term than cotton, though initially stiffer.

How To Remove Stains On Linen Shirts:
